Our best and fastest fundraising program that we use is the “$10 local restaurant discount card” program. This fundraising program is nothing new but seems to be forgotten in many communities. The plastic cards (credit card style) are set up on one side explaining the charity that the card is supporting and the other side lists about 15 to 20 restaurant and fast-food locations that offer either a discount or something free with a purchase. The general public loves these cards because they are able to give to a charity and still receive discounts or free things back at each location on the card. Usually the average savings to a person over a 6 month card campaign is about $200. They give $10 for the card and save $200. Not a bad deal ..... and they supported a community charity at the same time.
